Catco 3" ???
I was wondering if anyone knows weather the 9143 catco converter is a 3". I currently have a 3"exhaust and I originaly thought that the converter was only a 2 1\2" but now that I look at it, I think that the converter is 3". I was also wondering if the 4 bolt flange for the camaro cats and the corvette cats are the same, because I guess I could just get the corvette cat which I am assuming is a 3".
Thanks

I am pretty sure that the f-bod and vette cats are different. I have auniversal 3" cat-co cat but I have no idea what the part number is. If you know your exhaust is 3" than look for a reducer on one side of the cat. It will be noticable.

Isn't that 9143 the 84-86 Corvette direct replacement cat? If so, you can't really classify it as 2.5" or 3". It's oval. And the flange should be the same as the Vette. Mine was, and so is my coworkers 85 IROC. Whether or not it will bolt in is another matter.

I went ahead and bought the corvette (3") direct fit converter and it looks like it will fit right in. I called catco and got the bolt spacing measurements from them and they were the same as my converter on there now. I think it was 4 1\4" across and 2 3\4 verticle.
