Hey guys,
I am currently in the process of building an LT1 to stuff into my IROC. I am sure that some of you have done this and I was wondering what headers you guys were using. I want to use Long Tubes so any info on that would be great. I sent an email to Hooker and they said to use PN2210. These are just for an 82-92 camaro with a SBC. The only concern that I had was the difference in the exhaust ports between LT1 heads and L98 Heads. Does this even effect them that much? Thanks in Advance for any help.

Hello, Yes the Hooker #2210's will bolt up no prob, But the exaust ports are just a hair diffrent, Some people just leave it alone and run them without any promblems but some people are sticklers for perfection opt to grind the holres on the upper head flange of the headers as to slide it up 1/8 of an inch as to make a perfect alignment. Hope this helps

SLP 1 3/4's clear the LT1 D port just fine, not even close, Im doubting the fast burn and other d port heads are the same location as people have said they arent nearly the same, I had the LT1 gaskets matched up on my SLP's and the slps cleared em just fine.

I have the GM FastBurn heads as well as SLP 1-3/4" headers and the headers do not fit the head port opening very well. It would take severe porting on the headers to get close to fitting and then I don't think the flange would seal.
