Hooker 2055

Will the hooker 2055 work well with a 350 engine with anywere from 300-400 hp. I currently have a 305 in the car, but want to put a new exhaust system on the car. I want the hooker 2055 headers and i am probably going to get the banks cat back system. But I plan on putting a new engine with the above specs in the car next winter and I want to make sure that I wont have to buy new headers for the setup. What are your thoughts?

I would say go for it. I think other people on this site are running a similar setup. But they would know better than me.

The Hokker 2055's will meet your needs without a hitch.

I'm running 2055's on my car (see Sig) and it sounds and runs great. Don't know if i'm up around 300hp, however.

With my tranny work done, the car will run to 140mph real quick with power to spare.

Last year, Chevy High Performance magazine dyno'd a smog-friendly 355 at 380 HP using TES w/y-pipe & 3" muffler.

General concensus is the 2055 design is superior to TES. However, I've never seen a back-to-back comparison.

Port-match the 2055 flanges (if required), open up the collector ball flanges centered on the y-pipe (trial mounting required), and they shouldn't have any trouble supporting 400 HP.

Thanks for all the input, I have made my decision that I am going to buy the hooker 2055s.
