cat and flowmaster...not loud...
Ok, so the new 355 is in, edelbrock headers, y pipe and a high flow cat on it, then its all 3 inches to the flomaster, i donno what series, and it sounds wierd, its loud, but it goest have that growl to it, what if i remove that stupid cat, emmissions are no problem by the way, will ti get nicer sounding and im after the better flow also...

yes it will. either that u have a choice of a high flow cat. or u can bore out the cat and put a pipe through it. any of those desicions will increase ur power and sound

Put a pipe through the converter if emissions aren't really a problem. BTW, Flowmasters break in and get better sounding over time, it most likely sounds like that a little because it's still new.

How can steel "break in"? I've heard this before about Flowmasters breaking in, sounds like bs to me.
Please tell me how this will break in over time?

here is my opinion on breaking in flowmasters.
The mufflers will change acoustically based on carbon buildup within the mufflers. Once the buildup has stabilized and is nolonger accumulating the muffler is borken in.
My 30 series flows sounded much more raspy when I first installed them after about 3 months when there was a light coating on the inside of my pipes the sound had dulled into a distinct groul. (I don't know which sound I liked best)
on a side note completely off topic, a backfire caused by a stuck injector through a 2.5 in. exaust shoots a 6 foot flame and sounds like a cannon. (no dammage other than blown collector gaskets)
