I need a cat for under $50 fast.

I need a 3" cat, doesn't matter what brand, doesn't matter if its used. I just need a cat because I'm sick of having to ghetto rig my damn exhaust up with a coathanger. All I ask is that I can use the stock mounting brackets on my 92 firebird to connect my Hooker 2055s to my Hooker catback. I'm getting really pissed off at this damn thing falling down every 1000 miles, and since there's no cat obviously no shop can help me. If I had a welder I could solve this dilemma in about 5 mintues, but since I'm poor and don't know anybody with access to one- I need a cat. Any recommendations? Part numbers? Classified ads?

Thanks.

Why not buy a section of exhaust pipe and a couple clamps?

My exhaust is too loud without a cat, so I wanted to try cutting it down a bit. Plus, I smell like exhaust after driving my car, and my girlfriend doesn't like it much. The catback is open-flanged and the pipe going to it is just straight flanged. It doesn't take care of the "mounting" problem, because it tends to flex right in the middle and after a while it just comes apart. I need something mounted to the stock location so it holds it up rather than scrapes the shhhh out of it over tiny bumps.

That's why stock mounting location is neccessary for this purchase. I can't afford to take it to a shop to get it welded. This is my daily driver and it's too damn loud for me, especially with the damn exhaust leaks.

Nevermind guys, I broke down and bought a universal catalytic converter. I'll have to do some fabricating to get it on without sagging, but who cares as long as I've got a cat right?

How much modification is required? I am buying my exhaust next week and was thinking of buying this cat.
