Gonna pipe the cat, any problems?

I wanna know if putting a pipe through my cat is going to do anything to my engine, such as make it run leaner or richer, and thus create possible problems.

I've already read everything on backpressure and such, I just need to know if it will make my engine have problems.

Thanks.

You have Emissions Laws - they're Federal, and cover you regardless of what state you live in.

Direct, hands-on enforcement of those laws is mandated to certain states/locales by Big Brother via the EPA. But, just because you don't have an inspection or test every year or two doesn't mean you aren't breaking the law by doing this silly thing to your cat.

I believe he was asking it if would harm his engine ?
