Corvette EGR Adaptation
Corvette EGR Adaptation
I'm putting a '87 Corvette engine into an '88 IROC (bought with no engine/trans).
The thing I'm concerned about it that the Corvette EGR works off of the exhaust manifold, where the Camaro has cylinder head passages for the EGR. So the Camaro exhaust manifolds have 8 A.I.R. pipes, and the 'Vette manifolds have 7 and a EGR tube on the 8th.
Since this car will have to pass Alaska emissions, what can I do to get this to work correctly with the Camaro AIR pump/EGR provisions? I'm pretty sure the 'Vette manifolds won't work on the Camaro, otherwise I'll have to figure some way to adapt headers to accept some EGR connections.
Anyone else done this?

There are a couple ways you can go about this. There should be enough room to dill a hole and weld a tube in there. that will give you the source for exhaust gas.
