If you want simple you will stick with a single 3". 1 5/8" primatries will do. Everything about the stock exhaust is junk so replace it. So yes it is worth it. Ceramic coating keeps underhood temps down a bit and prevents your headers from rusting. It in turn keeps heat inside the primary which helps scavaging. It is not necessary but serves its purpose.
