Good Cat. Recommendation
I did a search for this, but everytime I do it says "page cannot be displayed" .. is the search function down?
Anyhow, I have a 92 Camaro RS 305TBI, and I'm replacing the exhaust. I should be getting Hooker 2055 headers that have a 3" y pipe, and the Banks Cat back system which I believe has a 3" inlet from the cat.
My question should be pretty basic: what is a good, free flowing cat, that is emissions legal in CALIFORNIA. I'd like something fairly inexpensive if possible.
Does anyone happen to know if LT1 engines require 2 cats? If they do, can I use the cat I'm going to get now and just buy another one later when I do my engine swap?
Thanks, and sorry if these questions have already been answered numerous times!

Search worked for me.
Catco 9118 ( www.summitracing.com p/n search CTO-9118) is a direct fit for the 2055's, and for your cat-back if it is intended for '86-'90 TPI single cat application.

I've had mine installed since Nov '01. In Nov '03 it sailed through emissions testing. It's a universal, not the 9118 - I wasn't as smart in '01 as I am now...
