Longtubes/true duals on a GTA?

Yes it can be done...but it is not an easy task as these cars weren't meant to have true duals run on them. if done properly you will not have any clearence problems. Honestly, I think I gained ground clearence over the stock exhaust when I had the duals put on.

Most of the long tubes hang down pretty far. They will definately give you a significant performance gain. It also depends on if you have to retain your cats (your car is dual cats, right?) for smog purposes. It will have to be done custom, as nobody makes a kit or bolt on.

Troy....thats a good point. I should have mentioned that but didn't. As a side note, if you run true duals, make sure to have either an x-pipe or h-pipe made while you are at it for pressure equalization purposes. when i first had my exhaust ran, i ran the pipe straight back off of each header, and the car 1)sounded like *** and 2) if you were to listen to it, one side was louder than the other due to pressure differences. so i went back and had the guy fab up a x-pipe for me and the car sounds a lot better and also runs better than with the straight pipes on it.
