Want to change the headers but was wondering

Want to change the headers but was wondering

what are the little like pipe? on top the stock headers?
there is like somthing connected to it
and when i look at aftermarket ones they dont have it

and i was wondering
i really want a mean sound
so should i go long tube?
are there any kits out there to convert it to a h pipe setup?
im willing to buy a welding set to make my own pipes and stuff

The little pipe on the stock exhaust manifold is refered to as the stove pipe it pretty much takes hot air off the manifolds and puts it in the air cleaner.

and any tips on putitng in new headers
i remember putting headeron my friends fox
the drivers side was hell

You may be confusing thie with the AIR system. That has small tubes that frun out of both manifolds. The Thermac device (heat stove) is only located on the driver side manifold of TBI and LG4 cars (pretty sure it was never on TPI). The thermac is not needed and you may need to retain the AIR if you have visual inspections. A few searches on the matter should clear things up for you.
