whats after my flowmaster 80 series

whats after my flowmaster 80 series

I have a 80 series and I notice a little bit more sound especially in the bass range, Im happy with that, The only thing I would like is a more throaty note.
I have a 92 tbi 305, a cut-out before the cat ( sound huge)
so its either way quiet or way loud .
do you have any suggestions on a different muffler with more throaty note

for that throaty note you want headers. Shortty's like the hok-2055's will deliver.

Getting headers will give u that throaty sound. I have the exact muffler with elite headman ceramic coated headers, 2 & 3/4 custom Y Pipe, and 3 in. back. My tips are 3 in. to. It sounds very mean. My cousin has the 40 series and its nothing like the 80 in loudness.

thank you, and that s what i thaught that I needed headers, are they going to make more bass at idle and cruising on highway,
I just dont want something as loud as when my cut out is open
just the sound tone that you guys talk about

I just want to add that I have a stock exhaust system, the pype is not 3 inch and all I got changed is the cutoutwith a smaller cat and the flowmasters 80 series

do you have any part that would work for that

I would at least get 3 in. from the y pipe back. It does exactly what ur wanting when ur going down the highway. The deepness u hear when u turn it on, lightens up when ur at a set speed. Then when u get on it. You can tell. Makes the motor sound alot meaner than it really is, at least it did mine.
