header-cam question
I am looking at putting a set of headers on my car. I have asked around town and gotten some advice about what to do. A couple of guys have told me that for headers to be beneficial as far as performance you need a better cam. Is there any truth to this? Will headers without the cam still be a good idea? Any info will be helpful.

Headers will make a big difference either way. A decent sized cam would make a big difference by itself as well.
The two combined would make a very nice difference

it is true. But you made it sound too ordinary. Most people dont do a header/cam swap lol.
Are you sure that they werent talking about a "head/cam" swap not a "header/cam" swap?

Every 3rd gen can see big gains by getting rid of the factory piping. It is small, crimped and chokes the motor. Your stock motor will love headers and a full exhaust.
