flowmaster question
i'm looking for a flowmaster cat back system for my 83 Camaro. the problem is that according to summit they dont do that system for my car. i have looked at previous posts and see that quite a few people run the flowmaster 80/40 mufflers. does that mean that they have brought the muffler on its own and had pipe work made up for it ?
my main plan was to use hedman headers to a hedman y pipe and then run a pipe to the flow master american thunder cat back system , as the cat has already been replaced with a pipe,. i am running the L48 5.7/350 engine with holley carb so its preaty much stock but sounds cack.
i was just had my wallet out ready to order it al and then relised that they didnt have it for my car.
help please

when i had my 80 series i just bought it off Ebay, took it to the shop and said "Here, put this on". i had no cat at the time and was running shorty headers. it flowed pretty good and sounded cool.

I can't think of any reason that kit wouldn't work for your car... anyone?
it might require some simple adjustments by a muff shop but it should work fine..

they are the same. the exhaust routing didn't change from 82-92. the only difference would be the mounting flange that it uses to connect to the cat.
the exhaust routing on my '82 is exactly the same as the one in the pic
