Ditching Cats
I would like to ditch my cats and run 2 straight pipes through ( stock dual cat setup)
I know for emissions purposes it wont pass im not worried about it, but my question is there anywere online that sells a fitting straight pipe to replace where the cats would be, if not how do i go about measurings and getting new pipes.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks Steve

I bought some straight stainless pipe from Burns Stainless (there are others). I ordered 2.5" so that I could stuff the curved end into it, the curved end that fed into the cats. I cut off the cats, retaining as much of the factory pipes stubs, especially the rear hanger at the cat outlets. I think the factory pipes are 2.25" if you want a cleaner installation.

ya see thats the thing i dont wanna cut or weld anything because i wanna be able to put the cats back on come emission time.
I took a look at my cats and they can unbolt off pretty easy and i figured i could just get a new straight pipe bolted in...but it looks like i might have to do what you did and get a 2.5" pipe so it can go overtop and just get some hose clamps and use those to hold it down...hmm ill have to get underneath the car and have another look today.
