How do I fix this?

I just got my new engine installed, and I think the mechanic who installed it dropped a screw or a nut or something down my exhaust pipe, because now there is a rattling noise coming from the back of my car, and when I tap on my muffler I can hear the little bugger bouncing around inside. How do I go about getting it out? Or should I just save the time and hassle, and get a new muffler. I have on a Delta 40 with no cats, but I am looking for something a little louder anyways.
