Heres my newly purchased 88 Formy 350TPI with 43K original miles on the engine, not sure on the brand of headers... but has a catco hi-flow converter + flowmaster exhaust.

oh, sorry, the motor screaming at 6500rpms doesn't count as an exhaust clip eh? what's the difference between that and a dyno run?

 

320hp 355. hooker 2460s, CRAPPY y-pipe, hooker aerochamber catback. I really like how it sounds.

there i bought the car with 62k 2 years ago, know it has 85k, thanks for the nice coments. i love my car, and its nice when people appriciate it also.

Is your 80 series the one that came with the catback? If so, I have a slightly different model. The sound clip in my sig "Listen to the exhaust" is with stock manifolds/Ypipe, and a Hi flow cat. The one that says "WOT" is with the headers/Ypipe/No cat. But everything I record with does not pick up the exhaust very well. It sounds a lot different in person.


What did you use to record? It sounds very clear.

i used my digital camcorder. copied the file to laptop using dell movie studio. then burnt to cd in DVD format. then uploaded that file to my PC and used VirtualDub to convert it and mild compress it into AVI format to upload on streetfire.net. LOL

and yes my 80 series comes in the american thunder catback but its true 3inches all the way back

 

Thats a lot of work My 80 series in a 3" in, 2.5 Out.

 

it really only took like 3 minutes to do the whole thing LOL

I've live in Noblesvile, which is about 15 miles north of Indianapolis. I was suprised too when I listened to it I didn't think a car with so little mods could sound so cool.

 

Finally got an exhaust clip, not very great but you get the idea.

Stock headers w/air still on. Stock y pipe. Stock cat. Magnaflow Catback.

If you are referring to my car, the 305 died, I sold the TPI and exhaust setup, installed an LT1/T56 and 4th gen dash, then sold it to a friend and he put all the suspension and drivetrain parts into his Camaro, then ran over the car with a big truck.

no, cuz he gave me $5,000 for the car. BUT I would have liked to have gotten the dash and GFX back since he wasn't using them
