Where to get pipes after the muffler?
I have an american thunder catback, but the previous owner put the stock tips/turn downs back on. I want to get some 3"-3.5" chrome tips, but do NOT want them welded on the stock tips. I want to keep them in case I don't like the sound/look with the new tips.
Does anyone know where I can buy the pipes that come out of the muffler?
I attached a pic of what i'm talking about:

I think the best way to do those pipes would be to get some J bend pipes from summit, measure for the tips, then cut them and VOILA!!!! for a total of like $30

Tailpipes, my friend, tailpipes.
I agree with 1badbowtie that it's cheaper to fabricate them than to buy them already finished. Or, if you know a good exhaust shop then the job should be cake.

Go to an exhaust shop, ebay, Flowmaster's site, other exhaust sites, etc.

Tried
tailpipes
I have only noticed one cat back system that has factory style tailpipes with the proper bends and that was the Edelbrock system. I don't think they will sell them seperate either. All of the other systems I have seen have tailpipes that are too noticable and poke out under the rear bumper
some people like that I guess. I recently had to replace the original muffler on my Iroc and went with a flowmaster 80 series. For tailpipes I had an exhaust shop modify the muffler to accept 3 inch tailpipes and then had the shop bend tailpipes just like factory tailpipes only in 3 inch, tucked up under the car nice with a small turndown right before the rear bumper, they are hardly visable, they did a very nice job. That was the only way to do it to make me happy since aftermarket really does not offer anything I like. I am sure any good muffler shop can bend you some tailpipes to your liking for very little money. Hope this helps, Larry.
