do you need the o2 bung?
Well as the title says do you need the o2 bung or can I just get rid of it? It’s already been pinched closed by the last owner so would it affect anything if I just took it off??? I was just wondering because I’m planning on redoing the hole exhaust this summer and I didn’t feel like drilling into my exhaust to the a o2 bung back in. I will be running a no cat set up so I thought it might be kind of hard to keep it without having a cat.
Are you still running TBI? I don't think the computer would be to happy with the 02 sensor not hooked up properly. If you were running a carb setup, then you would not need the bung.

You need the 02 sensor. It is a vital part to the running condition of your car. Without it your car will not make AF corrections as needed. The cat has nothing to do with the 02 on these cars.
