Illinois State Police blows....

Got pulled over again tonight, after being pulled over less than 3 weeks ago. Both times were loud exhaust related. This time I got 2 warnings..... 1 for the exhaust which are 1.75" Long Tubes going into DynoMax 3" Bullets w/ turndowns, and 1 for the Cheater slicks (BFG DR's). The cop was talking all kinda goofy ****.....like he could throw me in jail and impound my car for reckless driving.
Here's how it went down...... I had just gotten fuel at my local Amoco (seems to run best on thier 93 octane), aside from race fuel of course. I puuled out onto the road..... a nice wide one w/ 2 lanes going each way plus a center lane. It's a highway heading to the next town. I pulled out of the station, left it in 2nd (700R), absolutely no traffic, eased it up to about to about 3 grand, and slowly squeezed the throttle up to about 6500, then let off as I shifted into Drive.
The cop had absolutely no sense of humor. As a matter of fact, I can't think of where he could have been.....maybe in the lot at the Steak N Shake would be my best guess. Anyways, about a minute later I saw a car coming up behind probably running 100+, he turned on his cherries.....damn neare *** ending me in the process.
He wrote me the 2 warning tix, and told me that if he pulled me over again in the future and I havn't quieted the car down and put on differrent tires he would issue me the 2 tix. He also claimed he could even citate me on his ludacris(sp.) reckless driving for up to 18 months after this occurance. I figure him to be fulla **** on that one, especially sine I didn't get a warning on that one.
Anyways, I don't want this post to get any longer, so give me your take on this. Also, any ideas on a quieter exhaust to handle 500+ ponies N/A. I think the Mufflex system would probably choke down my solid roller motor. BTW, the cop told me the exhaust had to be stock sounding (HA frickin HA). Also are the cops in your state so lame that they have to f*ck w/ a guy w/ a nice sounding/running car? Please post back so I know if it's everyone or are the cops just singling me out. I'm gonna have to do something.....my car sticks out like a sore thumb......Centerlines with the skinny/fat combo, and a 3" cowl hood, plus the cop said he would be watching for me. Is he for real, or is he trying to blow smoke up my ***?

he got caught racing at 90+ in a 35.. lost his license etc.. that's why i have the car now

if my speedo worked i'd pay attention to the limits

As you tell it, just driving like your normal everyday driver and the cop was a moron for pulling you over for no reason.

What a jackass for enforcing the law to protect everyone else on the road. Loud cars are annoying, especially when driving around at night. Not to mention its distracting when it comes up behind you and can drown out other road noises. And skinnies up front are dangerous for handling. And to top it off he gave you a warning and he blows? I wish I was always that lucky to get 2 warnings.

Wow, he can write you a ticket for DOT-approved drag radials? I can't see this happening as long as the tires had minimum tread depth.

I'm going to lock this before it turns into a cop bashing post.

Remember this post if someone is trying to steal your car, or mug your girlfriend, and you think cops suck.
