Emissions with gutted cat
Ok, before you say anything, yes I searched. I found a lot of debates on performance on this issue, but I could not find anything on passing emissions. If I gut the cat, I can still pass the visual check, but I live in NY and we have funky laws. Is there a test for the amount of CO your car puts out, and if I gut the cat will I fail?

not sure where you are from but in the metro area there are emmisions tests that run on the dyno.
gutted will not pass
tried it
however upstate they only do safety if i'm not mistaken
or ilde only
so you would in that case
i am certified for ny to do ispections
the new OBDII cars are done on the new emissions machine
