Y-pipe solutions ?

I have an '85 Camaro with Hedman shorties (68470) and the Y-pipe that goes with it (17470). From searching, I've seen now that the Y-pipe often hits the oil pan and also, mine doesn't match up with the headers either. The connections are open.

What is the best solution for this?

Has anyone tried the Hooker Y-pipe with the hedman shorties?

Do the heads used have different angles causing header fitment issues?

Seems like long tubes would be better....

I don't think you can just swap y-pipes between brands. Either massage the hedman one to fit properly or get a fully custom one made.
