bending pipes
This idea just jumped in my head. Would it be possible to heat pipe and bang it into differnt shapes, like dimple it here and there with a blow tourch and a hammer?
If you can do small dimples with that kinda heat, can you actually bend pipe?? Like maybe 10* or so with enough tourching?
I am going to do duals with oval pipe, but want to tuck it up as much as possible and if this is possible I will order the pipes today. Thanks guys.

I'm not to sure that would work all that well though, I've never tried either so not saying it can't. I'd say odds are in the 'no' dept. though.
If you're needing just a slight bend, it would probably be better to cut a couple notches, bend and weld them back up. Done that a few times, even with bends to get a little tighter radius out of it.
Exaggerated drawing for example....

You can bend pipe with heat but it won't be pretty. The far side of the bend must stretch and it will slightly change shape as it does so. The inside of the bend has to compress all the material that makes up the pipe diameter. This will cause the pipe to fold out towards the inside radius of the bend. The more you bend the more it will stick out. You can do it but it WILL NOT be pretty. A couple of degrees you might get away with, but any more than 5-10 and its gonna get ugly. It also discolours the pipe and if its aluminized pipe it burns the aluminizing out of the steel and your pipe will rust at the heated areas.
