If you want all out loud nascar noise ill sell you my exhaust!

I run headers with a set of lakers, no cats no mufflers. Sounds very nice. lovely deep throaty rumble down low and makes a hella racket past 3000RPM.

you are going to get annoyed with that loud exhaust. im 17 and have had my car for a year and my flowmaster cat back already annoys me on the interstate but with the new system you cant hear it . but i would suggest just some hooker shorty headers y-pipe no cats and a hooker catback. i have heard the hooker catback and really like the sound if i was to change mine id definitely go with hooker. a dual set up is not going to help too much with performance with that 305 so i would just do a regular cat back like what i did. the flowmaster catback i got was right at $300.

yea i agree

im learning chevy quickly

my stock exhaust looks almost perfect

i priced a set of hooker longtubes at O' Reilly's for $198 so i think im just going to get the headers for now

i'll have to pass.... i have to pass emissions still and plus i dont want it annoyingly loud.. :-\

just enough to turn heads and wake up people at midnight with a quick rev

plus i got a LIMITED budget

and i got door problems and need a paintjob

i was lookin in the phone book and tlakin to my dad

there's a place near me that will take stock and bend it custom.... and will make me a custom exhaust

i think im going to get glass packs(sp) or woody wood peckers put on

and they wont use clamps... they'll weld it up and everything
its good work

i think it'll run me 200$ minus the price of the mufflers

Get Hooker 2055 or Hedman 68470 shorty headers, and the Y-pipe that goes with them (each set has its own).

Then get a Hooker catback for a '83-85 HO car... its reasonably quite so that you won't get a headache under normal driving conditions, but when you stand on it, it has some serious "beef" to the exhaust note
