i've answered this SOOO many times in COUNTLESS other threads, but here is the lowdown on my setup. all you have to do to get TONS of info is type my name into the search bar at the bottom left of the page and you'll get HUNDREDS of threads.

here is how much it cost to put my dual exhaust on my car with part numbers from summit:

Hedman Longtube Headers: HED-68460 : $135.88
Hedman X-tensions 2.5": HED-18806 : $21.95
Summit 2.5" h-pipe : SUM-642025 : $36.95
Summit 4' stick of 2.5" tubing x2 : SUM-640025 : $10.95 x2 : $21.90
Summit Chambered mufflers 2.5" x2 : SUM-633222 : $41.69 x2 : $83.38

Total: $300.06 + $20 to ship, cause the exhaust tubing is oversized.

pic of it all installed and welded up by me:

ground clearance at the lowest point:

I want that Nova!!! I'm going to need a new system come spring, my car is lowered a bit though, not like the sportlines drop. I would say I would get like 3-31/2 clearance underneath. Sound clips? This is also on a 305 correct?

no nova...when i started on here i was 16 and wanted a 66 nova more than anything in the world! after searchin a long time, i settled for the thirdgens...now it's all i know and all i have room for in my heart!

anyway, the aluminum angle plug heads it's talking about is the chevy production heads....as in, they will not work with AFTERMARKET aluminum angle plug heads...they work just fine with iron heads though.

steve383, my car has v6 springs with 1 coil cut off of them, ground clearance is right around 3 1/2" now instead of the 4 1/2" i had. still no problems as long as you go slow....

hmmm...sound clip...let me see here...hah! found one, this is the old 305 with the exhaust posted above....this is NOT the new car, this is the old car. i had this SAME drivetrain in my new car with this SAME exhaust, but i blew the 305 about 7 weeks ago and am about 3 weeks from getting the new motor together. it ought to be a screamer! this exhaust is going back on too....i love it!

Cool vid! Yeah the sound of your car is pretty awesome, and that's on a 305! I wonder what it will be like with what I want to get for my exhaust and on the new motor...

Re: quickest low cost 350 exhaust option(s)

I know this is a big bump but there has been a change to the Headmen 68460s. They are now a ball & flange socket. As a result the extensions listed above will no longer work. The correct part is as follows:

Hedman X-tensions 2.5": HED-18700 : $27.69

Thankfully the headers come with a reducer so I'm just going to cut the flange off of the reducer and off of the extension then swap them rather than mess with an exchange.
