Can Jet Hot coated headers be recoated?
I am picking up a used set of Jet Hot coated Hooker 2210's in a few weeks from a friend. The coating has seen better days (chipping, rusty in some areas) and I also plan to reroute the #7 primary tube to clear my head/plug combination. My question is,can these already coated headers than be recoated? At the least I plan to sandblast them after the modifications are done.Is there anything else that will need to be done to get them redone,or can they NOT be recoated?Searching seem to not find anyone else in the past asking this question.
Recoating is always an option, I don't know the prices but I know they offer the service. I would think its somewhere in the 300-400 dollar range plus shipping b/c they have to strip the original coating off before recoating.
in any case great upgrade -they sound awesome.

When I got mine, I thought they came with a rust through gaurantee / replacement. But since you plan to modify it???
They do give a 10 or 15 percent discount to people who have bought from them.
