panhard brace hitting 3 inch exaust

no matter what I do I cannot get the exaust that is going over my rear end to stay away from the heat shield or the body to panhard bracket brace.

I had a few ideas because after putting on the umi subframeconnectors the exaust is a little lower and now hitting just the brace.
1- putting some washers between the body and the brace.
2- making a piece that will act as a spacer plate.
3- mounting some kind of thick rubber pad.
4- using some kind of heat resistant insolation.

I am trying to get all the squeeks, rattles and vibrations out of the car before my speakers get here next week.

Any new suggestions are welcome and which of the four is the best. One thing I do ask is that people who have accually dealt with this problem reply only. I value experience over opinion!

My suggestion would be to get a BMR upper panhard relocation kit....I got one for my Z so I can have as much space as possible for the 3" dual exhaust. It's a little over $200, but you won't have to worry about it hitting ever again.

sound good except for the 200 dollar issue. what does it do except relocate the panhard bar brace.

Here's a pic of the new bar....you can see from the design that it allows much more clearance. I haven't installed it on my car yet.

Here's an installed pic:

It's a whole new tubular powdercoated bar that is bent as such to give maximum clearance for over the axle exhaust. One thing I should mention though, is that your panhard rod will now be located an inch or so lower, so it's a good idea to pickup a Jegs's panhard relocation bracket to mount the panhard as horizontally true as possible to create a safe and correct suspension geometry. I'm in the midst of installing the Jegs bracket this week.
