86 T/A exhaust

I have a 1986 Trans Am that I will have a 383 stroker in. What kind of exhaust should I go with? Are headers a must, because I heard they're a really tight fit?

Headers are a must.

Hooker 2055's
3" Cut-out (if desired)
Magnaflow 3" Cat
Any 3" catback system will work but if you want something SICK, invest into a GMMG catback or make you're own with some summit chambered mufflers.

Depending on your heads, cam, intake etc. I would recommend a set of headers and either a Mufflex 3.5" or 4" system.

I have an 86 and use Hooker Super Comps with a full Mufflex 4".
