MAC Y pipe
thinking about getting the MAC y Pipe for car so the sub frame connectors fit better and to also get a little better flow.
i think at this point i want to steer away from headers (expense, installation, time, etc...) (also have a broken bolt on the head for one of the manifold bolts, so that will need some work)
so i contacted Jet Hot, and they want almost 260 shipped.
MAC wants 170 for it, not including shipping
wondering if the coating is really worth it
I've seen the benefits on headers, as well as some downfalls like flaking etc...
for the extra cost to coat it, is it really beneficial? jet hot said it would be coated inside and out
thoughts?
i may wind up going with headers at a later point in time (probably at least 3 years away from that decision at this point in time)

i'd want to, but time, and $$ are a concern, have the Jeep to work, and the skis too
plus having a snapped exhaust bolt in one of the holes on the head is definately going to be an issue, and the other HEAVYILY rusted ones that are on there now.
i'm not sure how to go about getting that bolt out, it's on the drivers side, second one from the rear
that one broke, the last one on that manifold fell out, at least i can get a bolt in there to tighten down.
what's the best way to get the other bolts out without the risk of them breaking?
the flange area i dont care about

soak them in PB Blaster over night, then go out and soak them again over night. they should come loose pretty easily after that. then for the broken bolt, hopefully it broke with something sticking out. soak it, then try to grab onto it with something to turn it out. if not, you'll have to drill it out some how.

Re: MAC Y pipe
If there is anything stickin out of the head when you pull off the manifold you can (tack) weld a nut onto it and turn it out with a rachet/wrench.
EDIT- didnt realize this thread was so old.
