Magnaflow

I was looking into buying a borla exhaust but magnaflow is cheaper I was wondering how much time it would take to have a shop adjust the hangers to make it work and also if anyone has a sound clip of it on a L98 thanks again

I've heard a magnaflow on my friends built IROC. He has brodix heads, ZZ9 camshaft, headers and a stock TPI induction. It honestly sounded nothing like they do on 4th gens. The TPI induction isn't friendly with the Magnaflow muffler, as the muffler tends to undercut the sound waves alot. It was still bassy and deep, just didn't have that scream when you stepped on it like the LT1s get.

could have also been the fact he only had shorty headers, still ran a cat and had 2.5" pipes before the muffler...

He tore it off and gave it to me for my '97.

Before I did long tubes on my LT1, the mag was one of the best mufflers I had ever heard. It was bassy and DEEP, and SCREAMED when you got on it.

Now it's just plain SICK.

expect shop pricing to be about .5-1.0 hours of labor.
