single or duals?

I am building a low performance 350 for my 92 RS T-5 TBI.I was wondering if it would even be worth the hassle of running duals on it or just run a single
3" pipe from y pipe back..I will have shorty headders and if 3" is the way to go what y pipe should I use?

I ran dual 40 series flowmasters on my car and it gave it a little more horsepower than the single I had before. Only cost me about $250 a my local muffler shop!

I was all about running duals at one point in time, then i wised up and realized that it wasn't worth it for more than one reason. Number one being that they hang way too low, as from what i've seen, and two the extra time and money spent on running duals just doesn't seem worth the small performance gain. And another, basically everyone that's ran duals regretted it and is either currently will be or has converted back to single exhaust, so i would just do it right the first time.

Not to scare you away from the idea, just a few facts on it.

Duals are nice but they compromise alot of things on these cars so it's usually better to just go with 3" single. Although, there are some really good dual setups out there people have done.
