Hey, I was watching one of those performance tv shows on saturday and they were installing an exhaust system. Odd thing to me was that they were putting red sealant on the joints before they bolted them up. even the joint where the cat bolts up to the catback. I have never seen that before. Is this some new thing??

 

idk my uncle who is a mechanic told me to get that stuff and put it on the header gaskets. it is high temp and helps seal alot better. i wasnt going to use it but then he suggested i use it so i picked up a thing it was like 4 bucks for a good size tube.
