No place is going to sell you a "used" cat. Your best bet is to go by some exhaust shops and see if they have thier "cat bin" out back. Usually muffler shops will keep a bin with all the parts and they have them seperated. Mufflers in 1, cats in another, and so on. That would be your best bet.

Good luck!

man its easy once you get the cat off i just did it today. take the cat off which is the hard part and try not to drop it and bend any flanges like i did oops all better now. then place one end on a piece of wood or what not take a screw driver or something long and pointy and place it inside and hit with a hammer and break the thing to pieces and try not to breathe any of that dust in its not cool. just keep breaking and shaking to get the pieces out once done all thats left is a small bar running across the middle and you can see through it.

yeah i think i will try to find this mysterious "cat bin"! cause like i said, my car doesnt have a cat right now. i want to at least appear legal. i know that muffler companies make a straight pipe with a box around it that looks like a muffler to the untrained eye. i was just wondering if they did this w/cats also. i think the old muffler shop(used) or junkyard is the best way to go. thanks guys!
