Hey everyone. I'm having an issue where I'm burning up a plug wire with my headers. I've done it to two seperate wires now (just put the third on today). Hopefully the boot I'm using now will give me enough clearance (it's actually burning the boot, then into the wire) but if this doesn't fly, is there something I can wrap a section of header or the wire boot with that will stop this from happening again?

Had the same thing happen with my LT1 when I installed headers. It's pretty common. I noticed you have SLP's. Burned wires are very common with the SLP's due to their size and design.
The best remedy for this is to buy a set of spark plug wire "heat sleeves". They're typically 6"-8" long "sleeves" that you slide over the area that's closest to the header pipes, and it reflects the heat away and keeps your plug wires from getting burned. You can also run them to the very edge of the boot itself, before it makes the "bend" so even though it doesn't cover the entire boot itself, it covers half of it and that should be more than enough to keep you out of trouble.
You can buy them in singles, but I'd reccomend going with a full set as it protects all the wires which, in the long run, is a good idea. You may only be having trouble with two of them now, but further down the road, you'll have it with the rest of the wires aswell.
All the aftermarket sleeves function the same and give the same results, so you don't have to buy the most "expensive" sleeves thinking they'll be a whole lot better. Any brand will do, but for the record, I run Taylor's on mine. Typically, they go for about $50 for a set of eight and you can get them in either Red/Blue/Silver/Black so you can go with whatever colour matches your engine bay.
