At a lost
Looking for any advice on what to trouble shoot next. Out of the blue my GTA will not start. It will fire on the first turn of the key, then nothing...Why won't this car start ? Have 40 psi at the rail. Have spark at #1 plug wire. Seemed low using spark tester, but should have started engine. Had VATS delete re-programmed in my custom chip. Checked wires at ECM connectors when re-installed ECM. Checked all engine grounds, and distributor wires. At a lost here, and getting pretty discouraged...Pissed off really. Any advice out there will be appreciated.

Weak or low spark may be ignition control module (ICM) located in the distributor.

My 89 TA gave me fits for over a year with no starts or starting and then not starting. For some reason I have replaced the complete dizzy twice now.After the second one I havent had the problem again.

Check the Ignition Control Module, could be your culprit and have been known to just die at the drop of a hat.
