edelbrock y pipe edl-25-9509

i got this part number from summit and i have a question as to whether it will fit my t/a. it only lists the third gens from 1986 -1992. i am just confused as to why that is. and does anyone know if it will physically fit because i am doing an engine swap to a 383 and will be using the edelbrock tubular headers(edl-68742). with a 3" cat back system. does anyone have any experiences using this y pipe on any other third gen outside of these years listed. mine is an 85 and i didnt think that bodies differed any other than cosmetics over the years body wise that is. i would appreciate the info.

i believe the differences are the different catalytic setups that GM used on these cars. i think 86-90 had a single cat while 91-92 had dual. before 86 i have no idea.

i just think that the 85 isnt different than the 85 because i owned both and they looked the same. i think 86 was the start of the h.o. and tpi was introduced into alot more f bodies than 85 and maybe the diameters changed but since that is changing as well with the new 383 it shouldnt matter. but if im wrong someone please let me know. thanx for the info.
