Help me plan my exhaust system

Alright, I'm going to need full new exhaust before the next smog. I eventually plan on Shorty 2055 headers and a new high flow cat and a full 3 inch catback. But my question lies in the catback, as it is the priority. I've read all the stickies, and done all the searching. I was something that sounds flat nasty throughout the RPM range. I know I'll get flamed for this, but I love the sound of most 5.0 mustangs I see. I know, all cars sound different, but you know the sound I am talking about. I would like to shoot for that sound. Something that shakes the earth when you fire it up and makes the people standing around you KNOW that you just fired up your car. I want free flowing, and I want DOR exit. I'm also on a major budget. A lot of catbacks I look at are out of my price range.

I've looked at the flowmaster 40 series, but from what I understand you cannot have DOR exit with it. Is this correct?

I've also looked at the little single chambered flowmasters. Are these things smog legal? How would this setup work? A second Y-Pipe after the axle for DOR?

And yes, it must be CA legal...

You're saying that a Flowmaster 80 series is nothing more than a dual-exit version of the 40 series?
