is it a smart buy?
i got pretty much a stock engine and i came across the other day a aftermarket exhaust that seemed like a good deal...
its edelbrock headers...not sure the dimensions but their larger than stock
and its a miramount err maramount (or sometin like that) catback....
he wants 150 for the hole thing plus if he wants me to have him bead it (put it in a machin and get the old rust and that **** off it to make it look new again) he'll do that for another 50 bucks. is it a good buy...am i gonna get a jump in horsepower or whats the deal

Will the headers bolt up to your y-pipe?Or is that included. And also is the exhaust complte from the cat back?If you answer yes to these questions then that is one good deal.

Chances are that it's an Arvin/Maremont exhaust. That's what I used for my '83 Z28. I bought the pipe from them and bought a Flowmaster 80 Series. Complete cat-back system for around $200. That's mandrel bent pipe, stainless ( I think) and band clamps. Including the headers, it sounds like a good deal to me.
