Edelbrock help......

I just got a new (Junkyard) Edelbrock TES Headers for a 1985 camaro.....I have a 1989 model.....Both have 305's...What are the differences??? I see they have different part numbers...Will it fit the 89??? If not why??? And would it fit, if I get the pipe from the cat foward off the 1985 model......The pipes on the 85 are way bigger than what is on my car now, someone had upgraded the exhaust......Thanks, Tom.....

generally the different part # relate to the catalitic converter setup. such as a dual cat setup or a larger/smaller cat inlet. they headers them selves should fit fine the only problem you may have is the connection to the cat. but a muffler shop could fab something to make mismatched parts fit or you can if you have the tools and skills

look and see if your headers have the smog tubes coming out the top and see if the TES ones you picked up are the same

Yes, the tubes are the same....I think I am going to use the exhaust (cat forward) from the 85 model....I was pretty sure they would work...I had the same set on my last third gen with both a 305, and a 350.....Thank you for your help...Tom
