Hello,

I just got some Edelbrock TES headers part number 6872 off Ebay. I did not get a Y pipe for them though. Can somone tell me the part number of the Y pipe to go with these header? I have a factory dual cat setup and I have heard that Edelbrock Dual cat Ys are not much more than a couple of pipe that you weld to your factory stuff. I beleve that I can have better luck making their single cat pipe work with 2 new cats instead.
Anybody who has done this would be welcomed to add their two cents.

I have a 91' 5.7 Z-28 I converted from a dual cat set-up to a single cat.First off, I didn't feel any power loss.Edelbrock was good about selling their exhaust as separate pieces. I called them about three years ago to get my y-pipe. they gave the part number and I looked it up on the summit web site. The y-pipe I am using is from the kit for 87-90 5.0L, it's 2.5" to a single 3" cat.I'm not sure if edelbrock still does this.
