Which should I go with if i plan to lower my car. I've heard long tube scrape. I had planned on getting long tube hedman headers from summit. What should I do?

all i can tell you is that the hooker super comps scrape with eibach spotline springs.. just gotta watch for the speed bumps.. and the layout of your exhaust will be a factor as well.. if you use long tubes.. thats just from my experience.. true duals with hooker supercomps..
if you dont go offroading, or see alot of speedbumps, i would say go with the long tubes.. better for making power down the road..

i heard from someone on here that even the hooker shorties will drag since they're y-pipe is extremely low to begin with, and add that to a ~2" drop, it will drag.
But this isnt from experience so just think about it.

What kinda power are you looking for???
i will keep it simple.
<400 = shorties
>400 = longtubes + pain in the *** to get them to not scrape.
i have longtubes hookers, and a true dual 3" pipes. Cost me next to nothing to build it, but it is super loud and scrapes a bit.
I am buying a mufflex Y pipe and a single 4" asap.

Of course they can. They dan handle 2000HP if you want, but you are going to start noticing a power loss due to them around that ball park. It also depends on where you are making that power in your RPM range. Also primary size is a huge factor as well. There is such thing as a pipe that CAN'T take whatever horsepower, it just hurts more than you might want.
If you read a couple books about moddifying cars, it all becomes very very very clear. If you still don't get it by just thinking about it. (most people don't)

99% of the people out there are incapable of making over 400rwhp with the commonly availible shorties for 3rdgens without a power adder.
and since IMO a performance motor for a camaro STARTS at 400rwhp and goes up from there, if its for performance, the only realistic choice is longtubes.
the headers themselves are not bad.
its just that people do not take the full effort required toward making room for the exhaust. so their exhaust scrapes.
if you build a trans crossmember that has passthrus for the exhaust pipe, you wont have a ground clearance problem.
