Depends on the motor as to how much of a gain there would be if any. However less exhaust restriction means more horsepower. If I'm building up any kind of a motor I would use the dual cats.

I recently read that the G92 dual cat option reduced backpressure by 50% and was worth an extra 10 horses. I believe that I found this info on a site on the internet that chronicled the history of the Formula model, so I am not sure how accurate it is, but it sounds plausible to me.

An uncatted Y-pipe is the cheapest/best flowing option. Beyond that it's a GOOD Y-pipe with a cat welded on the end of it. Swapping to a dual cat setup is expensive and not really necessary imo.
