hedman longtube y pipe?

After I pass inspection with my new motor(when its installed) I hope to get new exaust.

On summit I found $180 hedman headers, and $3xx same headers just ceramic coated. Can i buy a y for theese or, do I have to have a shop fab one up for me? Would jet hot on the non ceramic coated headers be better then the ceramic coated?

what do you think of

hedman longtubes to dual 3 inch cut outs(electric eventually)-y pipe-high flow cat-banks catback.

The headers i think you are talking about are D-port. You would have to have a shop fab you a Y-pipe, hedman doesnt make one for longtubes. Overall i think that setup would sounds pretty good.

Well i have the long tube hedmans, i bought a flowmaster y pipe 2 1/2 in single 3inch out, i had a shop fab the rest and installed summit cutouts in the process, i am happy with the system but i dont like to cap the cutouts.

If you can weld....or have a friend that can all you need to build a Y for the headman LT's is a 2 into 1 like the flowmaster.....four 45 Deg manderal bends (or a set os S bends)and a section of pipe.....you could get away with 4ft.but I'd go a head and get 8ft to make sure.Do a search as there are some good pic. on the board of some......as far as a cat back I'd just get the muffler back and have the I pipe made up as with the LT's your exhaust will be routed diff. and you'd wind up cutting about 2 1/2 feet off the cat back and tossing it($).If you find it hard to get a shop to do the work because of the emissions just tell them it is a track / show car and they "should" be O.K. doing it.
Good luck,
Mike
