going from flowmaster muffler to magnaflow

Can muffler shop just cut out the flowmaster muffler and put in the magnaflow muffler. If not how much trouble will it be to install?

Car: 1987 Firebird Formula

Engine: 305 LG4

Transmission: 700R4

Are the mufflers the same size? Same in and out diameter? If so it should be easy for a shop to cut out the old and weld in the new muffler as long as the I-pipe and tail pipes are in good shape.

I pulled one off a 97 trans am at the junkyard and put it on my old camaro it sounded way better than the flowcrap
