Q's about Flowmaster American Thunder

When I bought my car from the previous owner, he told me it had "Flowmaster on it." I assumed it was just a muffler or something. Then I took my car to J.S. Performance (great shop) in PA to have my Sub Frame Connectors installed. Josh, the mechanic, told me I had a Flowmaster American Thunder exhaust. He said he had it on his car previously, and that it was a 3 inch cat back system.

The other day, I got a catalog from Summit. I checked out the TPI/LTx/LSx section and saw that that the 3 inch American Thunder system only came with dual tips. My exhaust is single tip. I could be mistaken, but I think the smaller sized exhausts were available in single tip. So... does this mean I don't really have a 3 inch exhaust?

Thanks!
Bill

P.S.- The TPI/LTx/LSx section does not have NEARLY enough TPI stuff in there. It's ALL LTx/LSx. Thank goodness for the website.

I never said it was an american thunder kit. I just told you it was a Flowmaster 3" kit with a two chamber on it. To your question... yes you have a 3" exhaust.. The single outlet 40 series muffler flows way better than the dual outlet 80 series...
