Magnaflow catback help!!!
first, i need a pic of how people hung there magnaflow tailpipes/muffler. Im having trouble finding a way to hang this thing with universal 360* hangers. Secondly, i dont know if it is just my catback but no matter what i do the tailpipes are not equally spaced. The drivers side tailpipe is too close to the side of the bumper compared to the passenger side. I have the drivers side pushed all the way in towards the muffler and the passanger side is pulled out 1"-1.5", just enough to get a clamp on it. What is wrong? Im having the hardest time getting this thing to line up right!! Pics would help a ton! Thanks!

Did you get it on? An exhaust shop did mine, perfectly centered, with K&N tips. Sounds really nice, classic musclecar sound. I will post pics soon.
Re: Magnaflow catback help!!!
--I have the magna flow cat also. I cut the flange off the old cat and welded it to the cat. That let me hook up to the tailpipe just like factory. As for the tailpipes, are they coming out of the front 2 holes? The pipe from the engine should cross over the tailpipe and go to the hole closest to the back of the car, Joe

Here are some pictures of my car up on the lift. They aren't the best and they're the only ones I took last summer when it was getting put on.

Here's a video clip of the exhaust on (the geardrive kinda muffles the sound of the exhaust.)

Hope this helps in some way.

Re: Magnaflow catback help!!!
You have to fiddle with it alittle. The tips wont be 100% equal on both sides of the muffler in some cases... but you will be able to get the tips even and spaced teh way you want. Just keep playing with it.
As for the hangers. I didnt like the idea of those 360 degree swivel deals...so I used the mounting set up off a 4th gen ls1 car. It uses hooks and rubber hangers for three of the spots, and then the factory 3rd gen hanger for the one on the pass. side.
When I remove/install my system, I just hang the tail pipes up on teh hangers, and its more or less in the right spot. Then I just set the muffler in and however it falls in relation to teh tips is where I clamp it. I have pictures if you want to see... they arent very good though.
