exhaust leaks!!!!!
the techs at the chevy dealership told me that 84 camaros didnt use any exhaust gaskets not manifold gaskets or donuts i didnt us and and i took out the flange thigy that goes between my manifold and collector and i have big time exhaust leaks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When everything is brand new they don't use gaskets.....after 20 years the surfaces aren't nearly as clean. Istall a gasket between the heat riser (thingy) and the manifold and also you can put some high temp rtv silicone on the pipe flares before assembly. This will take up some of the imperfections in the surfaces.

what kind of gasket between the collector and manifold... if you mean a donut what size......

I am assuming you are speaking of the heat riser (thingy on the pass side between the y pipe and the manifold) you can get a flat, 2 bolt gasket that will fit in there. Go to any muffler shop and they should understand what you are talking about and be able to hook you up with one. I ran my own Midas shop for 14 years and I used a gasket for an 80's era crown vic between the "H" pipe and the converter.
