stock y-pipe

ive recently got a pacesetter catback exhaust and was wondering if there is anyone that makes a stock y-pipe to use with them. reason i need a y-pipe is the person who had the car before me decided he could go mudbogging in a thirdgen and the y-pipe is crushed in not to bad but i think i should get a new one anyways.

A '92 350 TPI should have dual cats. If yours doesn't, it either didn't start with a 350 TPI, or somebody replaced the factory exhaust with a single cat.

Dual cats techincally have the "Y" after the cats, so what is typically called the "y-pipe" is actually 2 separate pipes, each going to a cat.

You can get replacements. If you actually have a 305, or have a car that originally had a 305 TPI single cat that was replaced with a 350, it's a pretty poor exhaust system.

Check www.partsamerica.com for the replacement parts. The pipes come with the cats. Only $700.

Ever considered headers? Hooker 2055HKR come with the y-pipe to a single 3" cat. About $430 for the headers, Catco direct fit 9118 converter $135 - both from www.summitracing.com.

its got dual cats its the original engine 120k on it. ive considered headers, but ive decided to get it back to original condition since learning that theres like 106 hardtops w/ 350 in 92 according to a breakdown done in the history forum.

Carsound makes one with high flow cats. I have one on my 91 Z28.
