Glass pack?

I was looking in an older Classic Industries mag (i think it was 2005)

idk if they still carry it, it was a thrush?

anyways it's only like $31, and my muffler is rusted through
and i need somthing cheapish that sounds good and will last..

rust isn't really an issue where i live, the car got rusted after sitting for 2 years in seattle without being driven

anyone heard what this glass pack sounds like??
anyone have better ideas?

thanks for your input in advance

Re: Glass pack?

i have a catless 305, with the I pipe going down the car like normal, then its cut, and one of those thrush bright red glass packs is on there, and then dumped right in front of the rear axle.

with my 14x3 open filter, and this exhuast setup, all i can really hear is the intake, and then the ehxuast when you get into the higher rpms. i cruise with a LOT of people and they say the car "sounds good" but i absolutely HATE the way it sounds. its not loud at all, and ith as NO tone either. i mean... at idle.. it is pretty lumpy if you stand near the back right tire but other than that....

if you can wait like... till it stops raining here today, i will take some videos of my car. in side, outside, revving, whatever, make your own opinion.

edit: just saw you have a 2.8v6....

id leave it stock as possible. go find a stock muffler.

Re: Glass pack?

i have one on my 5.9L jeep and it makes it sound bad ***. i dont think i would like it one my camaro just because its way to quiet and Lumpy like sp63 said. but for a jeep its sounds sweet. i used to have just a regular glass pack on my 2.8, it was loud, but very raspy, but that was when it was stock
