BORLA

okay well i did a search.. and didnt find too much information on what i'm looking to have answered.. i'm wondering what the difference from the third gen borla cat back is in comparison to the fourth gen cat back? besides the tips and more than likely the intermediate pipe is probably standard at three inches?

Re: BORLA

I asked the same question before I got mine...Ive got a thread on here somwhere about that. anyways, from what I know its just the hanger placement and the inter pipe but the inter pipe is something that would have to be fabbed up anyways to line up to whatever headers or routing you would go with... Like I said in another thread, I got mine from a 99 camaro and it came with the hangers that he had on his car attached to the Borla and it bolted right up to my exsisting hanger locations with no modifications to do at all. The tips lined up just right with the tail lights except for one being off maybe about a half inch of so.
Maybe I got lucky or maybe not as I didnt have a 3rd gen version to compare to.

thats just my

Get the Borla whatever you decide and if you do I would get the 4th gen version cause the round tips on the 3rd gen look like crap.

You can find them used all day long for 3-400 bucks.

Dude, you'll love the sound when you get it!

no offense to people that think they're overpriced.. i want to do my exhaust once.. and not have to do it again in 2 years.. and the fact its adjustable it makes it all more worth while. i love the sound.. my neighbors have hated me for the last 5 years.. so its not going to be any different.. i used to have a 69 camaro with a 427 and open headers i drove everyday for a year.. never once had anyone call the police on me
